Flagline 50k
Last modified: September 4, 2010Flagline 50k will take place this year and will be the USATF Mountain Ultra 50k Trail National Championships. This is a new race and it is going to be great to design a great course to challenge the nations best ultra distance trail runners. Keeping in mind that the race is going to have something for everyone. The course will be scenic, fun, and 100% dirt.
When September 25th 8am
Where The race will begin and end at Wanoga Snow Park off of Century Drive on the way to Mt. Bachelor.
Course Description As it stands right now the course is 100% laid out. I have to wait for the snow to melt before I can accurately measure out the exact 50k so a exact map will be available probably in the middle of August. In the short term I am working on getting the proposed map up soon. Generally the course is a great mix of double track and sweet Central Oregon singletrack.
Registration Right now you can register at ultrasignup.com with this LINK
Aid Stations Aid stations will have Hammer Nutrition HEED with Hammer Gel at the last few aid stations. In addition to Hammer fuels there will be a variety of ultra favorites as well. Potatoes and salt, PB&J’s, licorice, and other stuff to temp the hungry runner near the end a long run.
Event Sponsors As with all events they are helped enormously by sponsorship. Below are sponsors that have put down cash and product to help make the Flagline 50k a success.

I really like the style of your writing. I’m an aspired mtb writer.. Looking forward to some more of your articles!
Even if you can’t publish an exact map, can you provide a rough idea of max elevation and elevation gain?
