When: October 13th, 2018
Race Start: 9:00am
Where: ODOT cinder pit off of Conklin aka FSRD 41 Bend, Oregon
The Storm King Trail 10k starts and finishes at the ODOT cinder pit and follows the same course as the Storm King Trail Half but just turns around a little sooner. This course is a great mix of single track and dirt road for passing, or if you run like me, getting passed. The trails utilized are Catch and Release, and Storm King.
For safety reasons, if you cannot complete the half course in under 4 hours you will be asked to stop and accept transport to the finish. Awards will be given to top three overall male and female as well as overall master, master male and female.
Aid stations will be located along the course with water and electrolyte drink. Weather in October is usually cool but be prepared for anything as Central Oregon weather can be very unpredictable. IF YOU USE GELS DO NOT THROW EMPTY PACKAGES ON THE GROUND. IF REPORTED YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED! I hate seeing gel packs on the ground when I am on the trails so don’t be that person and dispose of your trash responsibly.
Packet Pick Up
Packet pick up will take place on October 12th at the Footzone of Bend, from 12-6pm or at the Cinder Pit Saturday Morning beginning at 7am.
