My name is Dave Thomason aka Superdave. I am a race director that has been putting on trail running races in Bend for over 10 years. My first attempt at race directing took place in 1999 with the Superdave Horse Ridge 10.5 miler. 95 people showed up were treated to a great trail run while being outnumbered by cattle 3 to 1. We served homemade chili after the race and gave away used office equipment for prizes and free beer after the run. Since then the races I have been involved with have grown and I have learned quite a bit. I have always put on races with a few rules that I adhere to. Provide a fun challenging well marked course, treat participants really well, and ALLWAYS have beer at the finish.
